I Made a $10,000 Seed Finding Competition!

In orchestrating the $10,000 Seed Finding Competition in Minecraft, my role focused on the organization and management of the seeds submitted by players. As participants used both in-game exploration and sophisticated code to unearth the most unique and stunning world generations, I ensured that the infrastructure was in place to receive, catalog, and assess each entry efficiently.

I set up a system to handle the influx of seed submissions, ensuring that each one was registered and stored securely, with metadata such as the submitter’s name, submission time, and seed characteristics. This enabled a smooth and fair evaluation process.

I also oversaw the server setup for each seed, adjusting configurations as needed to replicate the conditions under which the seeds were discovered. This ensured that when judges entered a seed’s world, they experienced it exactly as the finder had.
